Health & Safety Audit

Take steps towards compliance with our comprehensive Health & Safety audit.

We always suggest starting with a health and safety audit - it's the best way for us to get to know your business and understand how we can support you in the future. Plus, it gives you peace of mind knowing where you are compliant and doing things well, or helps you focus on any areas that need attention. We are here to help make sure you know your starting point!

A comprehensive health and safety audit can provide numerous benefits for businesses:

Helps create a positive Health and Safety culture and shows commitment to continuous improvement

Demonstrates that you take Health and Safety seriously by proactively monitoring your Health and Safety performance

Provides confidence to Boards, Business Owners, Directors and Leadership Teams that you and your people are getting it right

Highlights areas where your business is not fully compliant with the relevant laws and regulations, and then provides the actions necessary to help reduce the risk of a prosecution or claim.

Evidences how you proactively 'Check' your Health and Safety management systems when adopting the Plan, Do, Check, Act approach, as set out in HSE guidance HSG65 Management for Health and Safety.

What is covered in your Health & Safety Audit?

What is covered in your Health and Safety audit will depend on the specific requirements of your business. For instance, a car dealership with motor vehicle workshops is likely to have a much wider scope of audit than a beauty salon. The audit for the car dealership may include inspections of the workshop area, the equipment used, and the safety procedures in place. Whereas, the beauty salon audit may focus on chemical storage, electrical safety, and fire safety procedures. Therefore, it is essential to tailor the audit scope to the individual business to ensure that all potential hazards are identified and addressed. You are a leader concerned about a specific area of health and safety  and would like a focused 'deep dive' on a subject, department or process.

You are a newly appointed leader to an organisation and find yourself ultimately responsible for H&S, but it is not your area of expertise.

You are a new business owner, with little to no experience managing Health and Safety and want an audit to identify what you don't know.

You are committed to continuous improvement with Health and Safety and a regular audit helps you deliver on your commitment.
